Course Description:

E-Government, a key concept in modern public sector management, is recognised as an enabler of government performance. E-Government allows for the introduction, augmentation and provision of news ways of delivering government services. The e-government paradigm disrupts and transforms traditional government service delivery channels by questioning current structures and processes. However, while e-government offers possibilities for the transformation of the government service delivery mechanism, the realisation of these benefits are not possible due to poor project management practices in the public sector. This is why it is important to have a full understanding of the nature of e-government and the project management issues related to IT in the public sector.


This course will provide participants with the knowledge and the skills to exploit e-government potential with relevant project management practices.
